Denise Larson
Welcome to my corner of Suite101. I hope you enjoy my essays, reviews, and photos. I also write copy and edit books — mostly about history — for small-press publishers. I was a newspaper editor for five years and the manager of a history & genealogy research room for six years. In my free time I putter in the garden and explore the Great Outdoors and the intriguing indoors of libraries and museums.
My publications include Companions of Champlain: Founding Families of Quebec, 1608-1635, published by Clearfield Company, an affiliate of Genealogical Publishing Company. It was released in 2008 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec and to encourage other people of French-Canadian heritage to explore their genealogy. Other publications include numerous essays for Le Forum, a cultural journal, and in-house publications such as guides to historical collections.
